Often in relationships we will argue about surface level issues - such as how to stack the dishwasher - rather than getting to the foundational concerns - such as feeling unheard or unappreciated.

Through couples counselling we are able to get to the core of situations, to discuss these in an open and honest manner, and collaborate in creating workable ways forward. The safety provided through the facilitation and containment of sessions allows an invitation to people to express themselves completely, to be truely listened to, understood, and responded (rather then reacted) to, through a respectful and non-judgemental process.

Time and time again I see the power in true communication; when one person is able to share their thoughts and feelings in an honest and vulnerable manner, and for their partner to fully engage and respond to that. This opens to door to discussion rather than argument. It’s powerful work.
